Shakib Al Hasan fittingly hit the winning runs, a historic six-wicket win over Pakistan in Rawalpindi. Bangladesh have thus followed up their first-ever Test match win in Pakistan with another victory and thus recorded their first-ever Test series win in the country.

Pakistan made a good start by taking two early wickets on Day 5. However, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque set the momentum for the rest of the session and at Lunch, the visitors need just 63 runs to win. Pakistan then take a couple of wickets in the second session but chances of them avoiding a historic defeat looks bleak with Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan pocketing their attacking shots and chipping away at the deficit.

PAK way anyhow so let's take a moment here to appreciate what Bangladesh have done. Pakistan may be struggling at home but Bangladesh have been relentless throughout this series. A valuable win for these Bangladesh players that will provide a reason to smile for their suffering country. What a story this is going to be and a what a moment this is in Bangla journey as a Test team.

Mehidy dedicates Player-of-the-Series award to student protestors

"You know there have been problems in Bangladesh - I dedicate this award to the student protestors who were martyred," Mehidy said when accepting his Player-of-the-Series award. "A rickshaw-puller was hurt in the violence, and eventually died. I want to gift this award to his family."

"We were there at the time, and it was pretty scary. But we're happy that things are returning to normal."
